This play is a modern rendition of the Suppliant Maidens by Aeschylus. Supposedly, the author wanted to take a classical play and see if it could be relevant in a modern context. If that was the goal, then I don’t think the play succeeded.
Maybe it was the heat in the theater or the end of a long day, but I kept nodding off.
